Default HELP ME PLEASE!!

HELP ME!! my 91 prelude 2.1 was driven by a grandma all its life and it is supposedly in mint condition. but today was the first time ive driven it in the rain and about 5 minutes into the trip i was bragging to my buddy about how reliable Hondas are, and suddenly my motor just begins to not pull my car. its as if someone is like holding me back. it feels like in those dreams where you're running and you're like stuck in mud. anyway, the engine sounds like it is working harder than ever and it just will not go any faster until *poof* the curse is lifted and i get this sudden jolt of power and then it happens again a little later. its been happening all day. so could someone please help me!! PLEASE!! anything??
thanks,
~sean p.
