adjusting fuel pressure in an H22 civic
stock H22 EK with a Walbro 255, currently does not have an adjustable FPR
if i got an adjustable FPR, how would i adjust it to make sure i'm not too lean??
seat of the pants butt-dyno?
i'm running a p28 JDMSHit chipped ecu right now but will be going to a stock p13 soon (to hopefully pass emissions)

thanks for the help, A/F guage sounds good, where do you hook that up to? i'm not sure what kind of regulator to use, i've read on here that people had problems with B&M, what kind is good?
i think that is what i will do (get an AEM regulator and an A/F guage)
if i switch to a stock p13 ecu, could i use a stock civic fuel pump? (my motor is stock as well), i'm just trying to keep costs down at this point, and if a stock civic fuel pump works well for a stock H22, that is good enough for me

I love that you included me in that. But the only way you'll truly be able to tell is to get a wb o2 sensor. Otherwise you can do some observational stuff by looking at the spark plugs or see if your exhaust turns pitch black (rich) when you nail it. I'll error on the side of caution without the proper tools.
My personal setup when I had i/h/e jdmshit p28 and an adj. fpr. I was running about 46psi and not too lean. I was actually running low to mid 12s (a/f, not 1/4 mile
) through most of the rpm range @ WOT. That should be safe until you can do some actual tuning on teh car.
Disclaimer: I'm not responsible if this blows up your motor. Every engine is different.

*Should* be fine, but i upgraded mine. It was only about $100 for one so, wtf, right?

An a/f guage connected to your stock o2 sensor is about as accurate as using a shotgun from 1000ft. You should be fine with any brand name A/F gauge, just make sure it is connected to a wb o2 sensor otherwise it's worthless.

yeah, i forgot HondaZvic on the Honda Tech god list
thanks for the help, btw, where and what is a wb o2 sensor? i think i only have one o2 sensor on my car, before the cat

= wideband o2 sensor. You stock o2 sensor only has a narrow band it can see. The ecu adjusts the amount of fuel (not a WOT) based on what the o2 sensor says. At WOT the ecu just goes to your hard coded maps and runs in open loop mode. A wideband o2 would mount where your stock o2 sensor is located. Try here for more details and a greater understanding of tuning and everything in general:

You will be fine. If anything you will be running a lil rich with either the p28 or p13. Juss get a nice FPR with a fuel gauge then bump the fuel to 40psi if you have a 96+ engine, 35psi if you have a 92-95 engine..

haha.
wideband will give you a true reading..
B&M and a fuel pressure gauge will do the trick as well, but not nearly as good as a wideband.

i agree, you and jason are Honda Tech Masters as well, you guys know what your talking about and you spare everyone any attitude or BS (which there isn't too much on here for the most part), much appreciated
