i am trying to do a budget drop on my ex and i have a set of gsr shocks and springs. i want to be able to put it back to stock by swapping out the stock springs and shocks if needed. will the shocks and tops cross over so all i have to do is get springs? thanks in advance.

 

It will physically fit in the strut, whether or not it's the spring rate and will function the same is another issue.

Bingo.

Integra rates are stiffer, which is cool, but it also won't drop the Civic as much...

 

i am changing the springs with probably a 1.5 or 1.8 drop. i just dont want the hassle of having to swap everything over if i sell the car. i want to be able to swap assemblies. thanks for the replies.

 

plzz dont.. i did the same mistake.. my put the 94- up integra springs.. namely nuespeed.. on my 99 EK.. and blew my back shocks the first 4 miles ?

WHY ?

coz the first 5 coils on the springs are touching each other... so i would recommend that just stick with the springs that are designed and made for ur car and moreover i had and still have tiens now .. but i just wanted a drop that was more than the s tech so i installed them..


well the bright side of all this ? i wont be lazy anymore and WILL install the agx's that i bought 3 months back lol

 

i am using civic springs on integ shocks with teg tops. thats all.

Ummm I don't see how having Integra springs on Civic dampers hurts anything unless the rates are WAY to stiff for the dampers.

i really dont see how those springs blew your shocks, something else had to be the culprit. people put stiffer springs on their stock shocks all the time and dont have any problems for hundreds if not thousands of miles. stock shocks were not necessarily made for aftermarket drop springs, that is why they make aftermarket shocks. stock shocks were valved to handle the stock springs, integra springs are not that much stiffer than civics

 

All the parts swap over fine. If anything, the car will be higher on the stock GSR springs/shocks. My car was pretty high, although not as high as stock, on stock ITR suspension. Handled pretty well, though.

 

Yes, BUT, it will give you the 4 x 4 look....

 

i just thought the front would be a little higher because the motor weight ... but then again i could b wrong .

 

It'll fit, no problems whatsoever.

i got the yes/ no answer i was looking for.
i am putting civic drop springs on a spare suspension i have off of an integra gsr. i want to be able to put it back to stock fast if i decide to sell the car. i am not putting the teg springs i am doing a 1.5-1.8 drop. something to look a little better with the 15" heliums i got for free.
