I have a 2000 SI and I need to change the O2 sensor on the cat converter but I dont know where the plug is on the other end of the sensor. If I remove the center console where the shifter is, will the plug be under there? And does any know where to buy a cheap O2 sensors?

 

it should be a grey 4 wire plug in the center console under the carpet, thats where i found mine using the helms. go to autozone and get the universal 4 wire and solder it youreself, saves like 60$

 

or if you pull carefully enough, you can pull it through the hole under the car.

Don't know about where you got it, I got mine from Honda and told them I needed the one in the cat. The plug is not by the shifter console, rather in front of it underneath the dash. You will see a little black box with screws on each side of it (passanger and driver side). Unscrew those screws and the box will pull apart. Pull the carpet aside and look around, you will see the connector as well as wires running through a rubber gasket in the floor. Thats your O2 sensor wires. Good luck

Its the rear one under the carpet in your car....they both look the same but the cat o2 is the second one back from the front

 

So it is under the dash board? Is the wire pretty long?

 

Like I said....
If you pull the wire carefully you can pull the harness through the hole under the car.
Its only like 10" long...
