Default NEW VIS CF HOOD DOESN'T FIT?

well, i just picked up a ViS CF Hood brand new from ViS. when i put the hood on, i notice.. the right side fitment is perfect, but the right side has a gap.. if i push it down with my hand, it looks perfect.. but as soon as i let my hand go, it returns to it's original form. pretty weird. any ideas? i thought ViS Hoods are suppose to fit PERFECT. also, sometimes my hood won't latch. i have to push it down at a specific angle for it to shut, if i push right down the middle, no way it'll go down.. my latch is really dirty.. what can i use to clean it? btw, i have a 92 civic hatch

you can put pins in (like you should anyway) and that will pull it down
Or
put heavy books on it all day and all night and that may put it down too

Most people cannot get their hoods to fit perfectly right off the bat. It takes alot of playing with screws and positioning of the hoods to get the best fit.

adjust teh rubber bumps on the other side, raise the left side a bit and th right side may line up better. also try raising your hood latch so it'll close better. we installed one on Eluzion's eg two weeks ago. it fit perfect, first try, all the gaps were even, i think it fit better then his beat up stock one. but to the ****** jackers who now owns the hood. and everything else off his car.

be careful when propping up the hood. WHat happened was mine is i had it on the OE hood support (open) for a long time in the sun.

When I put it down to close I noticed the right side was up higher then the left (between the firewall and the front bumper). To fix this i opened the hood and uses a bar to prop it up on the left side and left it open like that for a while (in direct sunlight). Fits like a glove now..

Hope this helps!
