Please post ls/vtec numbers
I am new to this section. I search a lot and didnt find what i needed.
If you have a ls/vtec setup, please post your numbers, dyno if you have one, and your setup.
I am still trying to decide between turbo ls and built ls/vtec. I have about 3000 dolla. I hope to get somewhere around 200whp or near that.

I'm not sure what kind of power you can expect from a boosted ls, but I may be able to shed some light on the ls/vtec since I just got through building one.
I spent 4500 or so on parts, but I went all out.. For 3k you could probably get...
Vtec head, b16 or B18c5 (what I chose)
JDM itr pistons .20 over w/ fresh bore (or what ever you wanted depeding on compression ratio desires)
Shotpeened ls rods (I went with eagle's, but that also meant forged pistons and more $)
You'll probalby need some stageII cams and upgraded valve springs to get to 200, but with hondata or some kind of tunable ecu you could possibly get it done with an itr/ctr setup.
I'd rather have an all motor car that rev's to 8-9k then a turbo car with the same power. I've done the turbo thing, and its great till stuff starts breaking when you get boost happy
