I have a 1st generation AEM CAI,and i want to put the bypass valve on because I've installed my suspension and its lower to the ground,being it 1st gen its 1 piece,does anyone no where is the best place to cut and install it?

 

cut it so you can make the upper part a short ram and then mount the bypass there. so that way you have two intakes in one just in case you might get paranoid about heavy heavy rain you can use it as a short ram.

Mount it where there is the most space available around the valve. This is right in front of the distributor I believe.

 

are you looking to buy a bypass valve?? I have a brand new one if you need it.

 

I'm going to check a couple local shops.If they don't have it in stock i will be interested,i would cut the chase and say yea but I'm in NJ so the issue of shipping it across the country comes into play,because my suspension is being installed on Sat and i want it in because the car will be lower.More likely to get water.
