Default Quaife Limited Slip Differential for H22 tranny?

Does anyone have Quaife Limited Slip Differential in their H22 tranny? If yes, how is it, is it good? Where can I get for cheap price?

I've been driving with a Quaife for a year now. It performs like a LSD should. Great traction off the line and in the turns. I used to peel out without trying, now I have to try in order to peel out. I'm actually considering selling it, installed in a M2a4 tranny for $1000, or sell a M2b4 tranny w/ Honda LSD for $700. I'm still deciding which of the two I want to keep. I intend to do some autocrossing and would like to know which one people feel will hold up best?

Haven't researched it for awhile, so I don't know if there are any companies that sell Quaifes for substantially less than anyone else. I kind of doubt it. Most companies sell them for $900-1100. It's an expensive upgrade, but needed if you plan on racing, or really want to enhance your street handling.

I got mine brand new for $725 shipped from a member here but he was trying to get rid of it for a while. I had it in my M2F4 tranny and it worked really well in the hairpins at my local track. I went with Quaife for its lifetime warranty regardless of use. I would recommend it over the M2B4

The Quaife is awesome. I would think it's much beefier than the oem M2B4, though similar in design. I've had my Quaife in my M2A4 for two months now, and I can't imagination driving without it. You can really stay on the gas through the turns, where as before I used to have the inside wheel spin throughout the turn. You actually feel like you have some traction with it.

unless it's the ATR tranny, i'd go with the quaife over the m2b4 b/c of the quaife warranty. it's bulletproof, and warrantied for life.

i've had my quaife in for about a year now, and i can't imagine driving without it. it is great on track, unnoticeable on the street, and if you can find a good deal on the unit, not TOO expensive to install.

Quafie>m2b4 tranny

I still can't get traction with the m2b4 tranny at the track.

Of course I have crappy tires though so we'll see how well
it helps with some bfg's

Dude that sucks on a Quaife! I pulled 2.388 60' on the stock tranny with Kumho 712's! work more on your launches!
I would be ashamed to post a 2.5 with a Quaife.

Yes, 2.5 60fts can be brought down. I could sometimes pull 2.2's with my open diff and azenis. Haven't tried with the quaife yet

Try making a turn while accelerating. That is where the SH tranny shines.

I noticed your garage. Do you even have an SH? Even if what you meant you had was an LSD and not the SH tranny, you will still notice it more in a turn, as well as lack of one sided burnouts with an LSD.

Hairpin turns hard on the gas after the apex is where I noticed my quaife the most. But you can do the same thing at 30mph hard on the gas in 2nd around a neighborhood corner. BIG difference. At the risk of stepping on toes, screw the strip. I would drive a RWD for the strip or a motorcycle that has great performance from the factory. Why blow $1000 to shave .5 sec off a 60' time when you can save 5-10sec on a road course?
