Whack-a$$ idea... plan for a meet 10 years from now?
Alright, it sounds funny as heck, but do you people think you'll still have the R 10 years from now in running condition? I mean without a doubt, it is destined to be a classic, so will you still have it as a toy later on?
I'm asking these questions, 'cuz I've been watching the "Amercian Classic" show and they show these older than dirt cars on TV. You know, that's gonna be us in 10, 20, 30 years from now.
So, I'm asking in way advance (before most R's disappear and people leave the board), maybe we should set a place and date in stone for a 10th year meet for ITR peeps. Like I said, it's a whacked idea at this time, but I know it will work out if we agree on something now. What do y'all think? (Don't worry, you won't hurt my feelings by saying, "it's whack."
)
Damn, is it weekend yet? I need some
already.

My family drives a 1991 Honda accord upto the year 2000...so 10 years from now, mechanical wise, there shouldn't be much of problem to keep it rolling....that is, if no other factors kick in.
I wonder if 5 years from now that theives still wants a piece of my B18C5.

Everyone I know makes fun of me, saying I'll have my R when I'm a old man. Heck I probably will, so I'm up for the 10 year meat(ha that sounds so funny)
Funny, I've been watching those same shows and thinking the same thing. I know I'll have my car still unless it is taken from me by force or freak of nature. The way I see it - the older these cars get, the more classic they will become, and the more fun it will be to own one...
The ITRCA will be key to keeping things rolling in 10 years...

If talking about classic import like the Supra, RX7-FC, FD and Fairladyz....remember that even up till this day that these machines are capable of out perform most stockers on the road. With recent jump in automotive tchnology, who knows what the standard will be in 10 years? If in the future, 300hp well balanced family cars are a trend, who cares about our car? And with the way Honda is managing things as of now, everything 10 years from now from Honda will be environemental friendly, and performs like an Insight.

at the rate we keep losing members (stolen/crashes) of the ITR family we will show up on foot carring pictures
This is actually one of the best bumps I've ever seen. I don't remember this thread from '01, but I would've been able to meet the requirements.
I still cringe when I think about the NSX becoming 30 years old in less than ten years. I remember my dad boasting about his 1969 Convertible Firebird being 30 years old back in 1999. Crazy, If I ever got an NSX sometime soon I'm gonna start sounding just like him.

, but true.
