Dilemma! 91 civic hatchback 2 blown cylinders. help!
So my friends dad has a 91 civic hatchback. He said he would sell it to me for 150$ but it has 1 blown cylinder and 1 other thats not very healthy. I don't really no the specs on this car besides that its red 91 civic hatchback manual. Now i was planning on doing a engine swap anyways, but i've never done that before. I was wanting to put a b18 engine into it, maybe possibly being able to leave the tranny in (most likely won't be able to). I found some companys that offer engine mounts for a b18 for the 91. Is it worth the effort and money for me to just screw something up!? rofl. (i'm scared it will blow up when i start it) Some advice would be great on this.
Thanks in advance.

its not all that hard... there are lots of how to articles on here and the web that you can find through a search!!! your stock tranny won't work with a b18 or any b-series engine. if you can learn enough from reading on here, you are mechanically inclined, and have some friends that know what they are doing you could do this swap without a problem. but i'd take some lessons on what's involved in the swap before spending any cash for mounts or anything.

ive practically read every post on here and ive got car friends lol. what would be some good sites to order engine parts or tranny id need?
depends on what b18 you want... b18a, b18b, b18c?? depends on which engine you want and whether you want a USDM or JDM engine.
look deep inside you must, search search search everywhere, many topics, many post and many smart people, you must lear a lot before you go jumping into buying a motor, dont rush it, peace
