Default Fake VISION = Real Vision?

Hey I just got some 'fake' vision corners, and they look and fit nice but i want to smoke them if possible. Is there any type of semi-translucent paint that will give them the smoked effect AND stick?

I got a black car so i think the darker the better...

Many aftermarket "tuner" accessory shops carry tail light tinting spray. Here's an online store that carries it: http://www.eautoworks.com/html...t.htm

The spray on stuff won't be as smooth and will fade away.

I'd just leave them the way they are...

i just ordered some of these "fake" corners...

i had some euro clear lenses that came w/ the car when i bought it and the drivers side lense flew off on the highway.. so far, from what i've seen, the fake ones fit really good...

guess we'll see.

Here is a good post for color comparison https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=340032

I painted my fakies but I painted the inside so the paint wouldint be exposed to the elements. And it had been working out well for me so far. About 1 year.

I tried the oven trick to separate the lense from the housing but I almost melted one of my corners. lol So I cut the housing off of the lense with a dremil then painted it. Then I cut the lenses out of my stock corners and siliconed them together.
Now I have a set of deceptively real looking set of vision amber corners. Because they are dark and they have grey backs not silver.

I didn't paint the housing I painted the inside of the lens. I used tamiya tint spray. Its the stuff you would use to give your rc car windows a tinted look.

I will have to host a pic. Ill see what I can do tomarrow. I have a set of real visions so Ill do a comparrison shot tomarrow if I have time.
