Default Any ideal what would happen if...

Got a question the service manual for 5th Generation prelude says i should get my timing belt checked at 168,000 K's

I called honda they said that should be about the right time to change. What is the best thing to do, I thought timing belt should be changed every 100 K
what should i do, what would happen if i don't...

I have an ideal what would happen, it would be ideal for you to take your valve cover off and take a look at your timing belt to look for wear, or not enough pressure on the belt.

If your timing belt snaps, your valves will be bent, and big problems , but that's my ideal.

Your t-belt will snap, and you'll probably end up smashing the pistons right into the valves. Motor = teh broken

168k is way to high. I suppose it would be alright if you drove it like a grandma everywhere. I changed my belt and water pump at 90,000 right when i bought the car. The service manual also says you can go 7500 miles before you change the oil. They are talking best case scenarios i bet. Just change it soon to avoid any further damage.
