Stiff clutch
A friend drives an `01 Accord sedan, and her clutch is extremely hard to depress. It engages fine, but it very difficult to drive smoothly because of how strong it kicks back. Her dealer says it's fine and adjusting it would void the warranty.
I've driven her car and after 10 minutes of casual driving I had a nasty calf cramp going!
So, is this a common problem? Can the spring assembly under the dash be adjusted?
I've tried searching on this to no avail. Thanks!

If the clutch is that hard there are more then likly 2 different problems it could be. One is the slave cyl could be worn out and causing this. The other would be the clutch pressure plate being worn out. Or a combination of both. How many miles are on the car? Also when you or her is at a stop at a traffic light do you leave the car in nuetral or keep your foot on the clutch. If you keep your foot on the clutch all the time this can cause a hard pedal because it strains the slave cyl. and forces it to need more pressure to push out. I would check the slave cyl. first.
