Default 5th gen wagon auto/manual conversion mount issues

Ok here's the situation, I'm doing the auto to manual conversion in my 5th gen wagon and we get to the transmission mount and things don't reach. It's as if the mounts are in two different locations in the engine bay. The basic accord write up says to cut it off but I want to know if there is a company that makes an aftermarket mount for this application. Thanks.

You should never follow some write up thats posted on the internet. The only proper way to do a trans swap is to use a helms and cross reference everything from auto to manual. No cutting is required on the 5th gen. I did the swap in my 96 and although its just a sedan Im pretty sure that everything is in the exact same spot as the wagon. Only the V6 had different mounts. With that being said, what mount are you trying to use? Are you aware that you need to buy the Manual mount from a 5th gen and use that instead of the auto mount? If this doesnt help take some pics so we can see exactly whats going on.

not true... for 94-97 accords all automatics not including the v6... 4 cyls need to cut the old automatic mount and re-weld... thats the only way.. who said there's no welding needed.. you still need to weld in the pedal assembly... its a lot of work if you're doing it yourself... while you're at it .. put in the energy suspension motor inserts... about $45 ... makes a world of a difference... and also the energy suspension hyperflex master system ... about $125... not too expensive but you notice the difference.. since the tranny's out.. do the exedy street/track combo... amazing performance.. i say do it while the tranny's out cause you won't wanna do it again... hmmm what else.. thats it.. n e more ?'s hit me up...

You don't even know what the hell you're talking about! I have already done a auto to manual in my 96 accord, hey what do you know that's a 5th gen! There was no welding of anything in order to make that swap happen, and what the hell are you talking about the pedals? Weld in the pedal assembly. hahahaha
Please do not ask this guy for questions, I repeat please do not ask this guy for questions! He does not know what he is talking about. The only thing I can agree with is the clutch, but I didn't need a hi-performance clutch considering its stock, and I feel that Honda has one of the best clutches out there for factory original. So if someone wants to stay with a factory original they should not have a problem.

OK there have been some new revelations since my original post. The shop where I am having the work done, told me that the mount location in the engine bay and the mount location on the tranny weren't lining up. I supplied all the parts for the swap but I purchased a tranny mount at Advance Auto parts which did not come with the bracket that attaches to the tranny. This was ordered and received yesterday before noon by the shop (Tempest Racing in Waldorf, MD).

Long story short we found out it was the bracket for a 91 (4th gen) and the new bracket is coming today. Hopefully this will solve the connectivity issues.

Just for research purposes, I'd like those such as Farroutt (thanx for the info) that have something to contribute to post it here as when I did a search not much was found. Hopefully this can be a valid resource for those that wish to tread along this path later.
