Default Advice on build

I will be attempting a build this weekend and will appreciate any helpful comment:

B18c1 block
b18a crank and rods
pr3 pistons
b16a head (port and polish) crane cams stage3
Toyota 20v ITB's


What are the correct bearings to use?

ditch the factory rods if you plan on revving. im not a fan of crane came either. I personally run Rocket Motorsports M22s. But you should make good power if you can tune the ITBS. what mangt system are you running?


Use LS rod beaings. i believe all mains are the same between B series. can anyone else elaborate?ACLs are all greens. Check the crank to find the color code

I will be running chipped pr3 ecu with e-manage

i heard that the ls bearing are not designed for high rpm but the rods are good for about 300hp, will be usin arp rod bolts by the way

will be rev to 8500rpm

imnot an engine builder nor a machinist so i dont know how the bearings in an LS are. but im pretty sure the LS rods wont last too long if you rev it to 8500 all the time. with APRs you might be ok. they arent good for 300whp though from what i have seen
