Default EK Cluster 10K rpm, which?

Im looking for a New cluster for my car, as my B16A swap with a lot of internal upgrades will be soon started. As stock tach only goes up to 8K rpm, i will need a new tach that pass 9K.

after some searches, only 3 cluster meet the requirement, a Mugen, a Spoon and a stock EK9 unit. when the first 2 will cost TOO much and not easy to find. that leave the stock EK9 my only choice. (Its not quite a 10k tach, it topped at 9500rpm)

so other then this one, any other choices I can get?? now i dont want a hugeass autometer or any kind that stuck beside the A piller..anyone could help me with this problem?

Fortunatly you can get away with the 5inch tach because you need it... dont be afraid to use it... i jus hate the guys that are all stock that that have one... and they have their stock gauge as well.... damn i would kill to have a motor i could slam into 10k....

My friends D16Y8 can slam till 10500rpm.. that thing is..
Well, i want it to be in the cluster. cos i simply dont want 2 of the same thing in fr of me. plus, Ive got a sparco bucket, my vision is a little too low already, the big *** tach will block even more visual to my left.

moreover, im still considering where will i install my oil temp/oil press. an water temp gauge, i was thinking about A piller but also i dont want to draw too much of attention

How easy is it to find Spoon cluster in Taiwan? I suppose it is closer to HK and JAP than North America, maybe more resources for an used one?

Don't settle for less. If you want a cluster that can read up to 10K, then get one like that. If I were you, I would wait and shop for it.

Good luck

And DX. The DX clusters didn't come with tachs either.

Its not easy to find a Spoon Cluster, an ITR one is easier but not for the EK. A CTR cluster is easy and wonuldnt cost too much. But i dont know, i dont think i would rev up to 10k rpm anyways(more like topped at 9500), dont think at that rpm the engine will make the car any faster anyway.

Anyways, i have been looking into the Defi VSD. Dont know. but for the $$ (new or used) of a Mugen or Spoon unit. the price just dont adjust. i could get an aditional set of Advan A048 with a CTR cluster.
