Alright heres the deal, I have a 1995 VTEC Prelude w/ AEM Short Ram Intake, Forbidden Short Shifter, DC Sports 2 1/4 catback. My friend just got a 2001 180hp Golf GTI thats still stock and wants to race me off the line and on the highway for 50 BUCKS! I'm definately gonna race him but idk if ill lose so i dont wanna bet 50 bucks, or should I? Statistically he has a faster 0-60 (Me-6.7, Him-6.5) but i have a faster 1/4 mile (Me-15.1, Him-15.3) if both were stock (well his already is) so who do you think will win in the race! I need some encouragement here Ludes this is 50 bucks. What about if he gets a intake and exhaust, what then?

 

Dude your goona loose. I smoke preludes all the time in my gti vr6 and its my beater car. And it is an MK3 vr6. Better just give up now and hand him the money.

Its a back alley dead end street wid not even a bird in sight champ and im talkin about a 2001 1.8t golf gti 180hp not some chunky v6. Anyone widout an ego got an honest experienced opinion.

There are no 2001 180 hp GTIs. In 2001 there was a 150 hp 1.8t and a 174 hp VR6. In 2002 the 1.8T went up to 180 and the Vr6 went up to 200
