Default O2 (oxygen) sensor simulator HELP!!!

Has anyone ever used an oxygen sensor simulator to simulate the secondary O2 sensor before......I'm trying to use one on my 1996 Civic EX coupe and cannot seem to get it to work. If you have used one, please let me know how you connected it.

Any information would be apprecaited!!

my friend did, he just wired the sim chip into the ecu, replacing 2 of the o2 sensor wires.

Did he take power from the heater circuit to power the simulator??

I cut the signal wire and attached the sim signal wire. I grounded it to the ECU ground and powered it from an ECU power wire that I was using for my SAFC also. I just twisted the wires together and then spliced them in. just leave the heater wires alone. you don't need to mess with those. All is needs is 12v from where ever and a ground. then just cut the O2 signal wire and replace it with the sim chip wire and you're good to go. I'm the friend that jmdalltheway was talking about.

03 civic ex, and I didn't have to pass emissions. I'm in FL/AL. If you're in a state that has emissions tests, you won't pass if the cat is not factory or gutted. In other words, YOU ARE SCREWED IF YOU HAVE A HIGH FLOW CAT (like me) OR HAVE GUTTED THE CAT. sorry dude. I hope you saved the factory cat if you have a high flow, cause then you can just switch them out for the test and then switch it back.

Actually, if I could just get the CEL off, I would be OK, becuase here they just hook up to the ECU and check for codes.......if something is wrong however, they will hook up the sniffer and check the actual output of your car......that is why I need the simulator.....to get rid of the CEL

we're in FL where we don't have inspections. and if you put in the sim chip correctly, the tester won't even know its there cause the ecu will think its the sensor. the only thing u'd be screwed on is if they put the sniffer to the tail pipe. then you are f'ed.
