Personally I'm about to purchase my J's from them. From what I've gathered the J's is the way to go but if you seach there's a lot of stuff about them both

Hey guys, I came across something from Larry at endyne.

http://www.theoldone.com/archive/intake-design.htm

He is basically suggesting the opposite of this intake's design (if I read correctly)-- small at the filter and large at the TB. any thoughts?

I was wondering when somebody would pick up on this....

.....unless you dont have abs obviously the mem-fab isn't going to work for you. The mem-fab is aimed more towards the "civic nation"...lol

If you already have the comptech icebox, I wouldn't bother switching unless you like the look/sound of the j's better.

I rock the J's and I love it. I have driven an R with the icebox and still liked the J's better. I've found that the J's has the best throttle response and is louder. They are both power adders; the J's seems to be instant and icebox is broadened over the entire powerband. The icebox is a nice piece, I would say keep and move on the other mods. My $0.02.

AEM CAI

I've had alot of these style intakes but the fact is they put the filter right next to the hottest area of the engine compartment

With the hood open on a dyno it's one thing with the hood closed around town another

my car was equipped with an AEM CAI when i bought it. i switched to the j's a few months later and i noticed a HUGE difference in midrange, and throttle response. personally, its the only intake i would reccomend besides the m00gen

FYI AEM has a J's intake in there test pile. It's continually beaten by off the shelf stuff they carry. So butt dyno to hell

Beaten how? Low end? Top end? Mid range? All the above? It really depends on what the person wants when it comes down to it. Yeah the AEM might have more power at a higher rpm but that doesn't do a person any good if he is looking for more low end or mid range.

Definitely not the large majority of owners in this forum since it kinda doesn't work with ITRs abs equipped. You would be better off asking in the (eg+del sol civic forum) !
