Default Valve adjustments and Port -n- Polish..

How much does it usually cost to get your valves adjusted from the dealer.. I think it's almost that time.. Might need a timing belt replaced also.. And how much is too much for port job??..

~$100 im guessing.. a friend of mine helped me do mine its a total pita, but if you are patient its worth the time. i went from 250 miles a tank to 300+ miles a tank after my valve adjustment. then again i hadnt adjusted the valves for a VERY long time!

its a good thing my friend is a honda tech, 100 bucks for valve adjustment , damn that's alot, he does that **** in like 10 minutes for a burger from wendy's, it looks fairly easy but the order in which to adjust is confusing, you should definitely notice a performance difference when there adjusted.........i did.....

I recently did my valves for the first time, but I think they are either too tight or too loose. Now my car kinda makes the sewing machine noise. Dose that mean it is too tight or loose? I used feeler gauges, but there is still room for user input. They say to have just a bit of friction, should that be silky smooth friction, or tangible sticky friction? Should I be able to fit the next bigger size feeler gauge through? I did mine so the next size up feeler gauge (still within spec) had sticky friction, but 2 sizes bigger didn't fit without forcing it. Example: intake I used .006, and .008 I could hardly force through. Is this about the right gap?

Also, when setting the crank, it is easy to align up the TCD marks on 2 of the cylinders, but there are no marks on the factory cam gears for the other 2 cylinders. Do you just eyeball it?Thanx!
