I agree with you guys that the sleeves are thin, but they cannot be stock sleeves. If the block is 84 mm, then someone installed a larger liner to accommodate the larger bore. Liners are cheap and easy to install. Although the block is sleeved, it is not done with performance sleeves like ours. Darton actually makes a liner replacement sleeve, it could be that?!?!

i hope that block never sees any boost.....

it "might" last as an all motor block.

those are not performance sleeves even if they are aftermarket....

83mm GE ls block , look at the difference , and that orange line around the cylinders are o-rings. those sleeves are much thicker than yours . and 1mm isnt going to be a huge difference in thickness . i dont believe you have performance sleeves .

but since you are the owner of the block , what sleeves are they?

haha. oh man , my feelings are hurt. sob sob. Im going to cry. psh!
you still havent answered my question people. how can you get a b18b block to 84mm on the STOCK sleeves and keep the thickness the same. as far as the pic that was posted on the GE block. I WAS NEVER COMPARING MINE TO A DARTON OR A GE OR ANY OF THOSE. GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD PEOPLE! the cylinder walls on this block are the EXACT SAME THICKNESS AS THE WALLS IN MY LSVTEC AND THE 2 LS BLOCKS I SOLD. how much clearer can I be? of course theyre not as thick as a GE sleeved block. I didnt say hey " these sleeves are HIGH PERFORMANCE! THEY CAN HANDLE 600HP!! BOOST AND SPRAY AWAY 24/7" I said they have been resleeved. how can you keep the same thickness and go 84mm without puttin in new sleeves? At worst its the same identical sleeve as a stock sleeve so why would it be of any less quality than the sleeves in my 81mm stock bottom end? arent half of the guys on here runnnin stock bottom ends on high boost makin great #s ? as far as the kind that they are I DONT KNOW. I bought this from some dude who didnt even know what kind of rods were in it. the kind that has mommy and daddy buy him stuff, he didnt even know it was bored out til I measured the pistons about 3 weeks ago. anyways. i want you guys to find me a B18b with stock sleeves, forged rods, forged pistons, balanced crank , oil pan, oil & water pump, FULLY assembled with about 3k on it for $1000. find that for me. can someone that knows all about this stuff post something relevant about all this. this thread is going nowhere

lol , i think you need to rephrase your statement....you dont have a sleeved block , you have a block with stock replacement sleeves. and my point in showing the GE block was to show you that your sleeves are thin as ****!

and im not suprised your selling your block for a grand. my boy just picked up a complete RS machines sleeved block with arias pistons and eagle rods , all new oem pumps bearings and gaskets for 1700 .

and how the **** can you not know the brand of the sleeves?

I agree that block has the $400 machine shop replacement sleeves. Thin as paper. Wait until he boosts on that block, the look on his face will be priceless then blows up!

I would not buy that block! Not even for an all motor car. Do it right the 1st time and get some aftermarket sleeves.

the sleeves in my block look just like that..I have darton ductile oversized (look at his close up pic..see how close the sleeves are to eachother) anyways..with the sleeves I have at 83mm they are the same thickness as a stock sleeve but I have run 29+ psi of boost along with a 50 shot of nitrous (yes at the same time) and the sleeves are holding up great and have never had a ring seal problem..hell I pulled head studs out of the block from so much pressure..but the sleeves are still strong..I say buy it..you will be happy (as long as there are ductile iron and not oversize stock replacements)

heres a pic of my block. (engine makes 550+ whp)
