Default Connecting iPod to Honda Civic

Hi,
I have a 2000 Honda Civic LX with stock cd receiver in it. I was wondering if neone knew if there is a RCA connector that comes with my stock cd receiever. If not, wut is the best way for me to connect my iPod to my CD receiever so that i can listen to mp3's in my car. Thanx

im not sure about connecting it directly. one way to do it is over FM using an FM transmitter. high quality ones just plug into the headphone jack on your ipod and broadcast on a programmable fm frequency that you can tune into with your deck.

I would go with an alpine deck with their new ipod connector. Looks to be a pretty cool new gadget.

If your deck has an "AUX - In" RCA jacks:

Buy about 6' of RCA cables (Male to Male, 2 plugs on each end)
Buy a Double Female to Headphone (Male) Plug.

Connect the RCA wires to the AUX-In on your deck, plug in the F-Stereo adapter, and plug that into the i-pod.

Set your deck to AUX. Turn on your i-pod. Play around with audio settings.

Enjoy.

more expensive option, but its something to look forward to later on..

most new alpine decks now have the option of connecting an ipod directly through their new IPOD interface gadget..its an additional 80 bucks or so, and its specifically made to connect an ipod to an alpine deck.

To clarify. . . All 2004 Alpine head units (even the cheapest ones) can hook up an ipod directly. But then you coudl hook up anything to it. All it is, is a cable that plugs into the (cd changer port) that looks liek two rca cables. then you get a rca split to head phone jack and jack in what ever you want. Laptop, ipod, etc.

Now the 80-100 dollar additional device by Alpine, lets you CONTROL your ipod through your headunit. like next, skip, scroll thru songs. so you dont have to get out your ipod. it is all controlled thru the head unit. That is something you attach jsut like the plug i mentioned before. But this device only works for ipods. nothing else

if you don't get the answers you are looking for, I would post this in the stereo forum here on HT. You will get better response and advice on what to do, this is more of a tech forum.
