Will my 96-00 Tein S-tech springs fit on my friends 92-95 EG OEM struts?

Other than maybe different rates will the springs actually fit his car. i know that the shock mount on the strut is different, but that is not what i am talking about. When I take my OEM/Tein shock combo apart can I swap my Tein S-tech's for his OEM EG springs? Will they fit on the same way (same size)?

 

From what i understand all springs for civics between the years of '92-'00 are interchangeable.

 

The springs are not the same. But they should fit.

Model ~ Spring Rate F/R ~ Drop F/R
96-00 ~ 235 / 140 ~ 1.9 / 1.7
92-95 ~ 212 / 140 ~ 1.8 / 1.7

 

i heard with the s tech they are different..from what someone told me on this board

 

so you guys say they will fit and the one guy said someone else said they wouldn't?

 

They will fit, they just have a different spring rate.

yup...there stiffer in the front.

S-techs are too soft imo...unless you plan on keeping a stock setup.
