93 Accord Tbelt/Bbelt tension problems
93 Accord SE auto, bone stock. Just finishing up a Tbelt/Bshaft belt job and im using a haynes repair manual. Going back together it says after putting both belts on and lining up timing marks, turn engine counter clockwise 3 teeth and tension should be set. Ive done this but the Bshaft belt feels loose. I can slide if off pretty easily. Tbelt feels good. All marks on lined up and everything is put together within spec, dont know what the deal is. Brand new dealer belts, 112k miles. I need some help ASAP, this is the onlything thats holding me back from driving my beast. Thanks.
the tenson is for the t belt meaning the 3 teeth, for the bshaft belt just loosen the 14mm bolt and pull down and give it enough tenshion and then retighten, then you should be fine.
