take back seat out?
4th gen prelude. I really want to take my back seat out, especially since this fat girl fell in love with my car and wants to go for rides everywhere in it, it'd be a good excuse to keep her out. How do I do it/is it a lot of work? How much does the back seat weigh(not including fat girl)? Any suggestions on what I should do with what is left after the back seat is removed? carpet?
Any and all suggestions are wanted--thanx

I haven't done it yet, but interior panels are never hard to remove. Don't worry about trying to make it look pretty. Or you could just tell the fat bitch to leave you alone.
the fat bitch is a touchy situation, best friends with one of my good friends (female as well, hint hint) my car is already 50 lbs lighter than stock, and I'm trying to make it as light as possible without being crazy about it, but have heard of people removing their backseats as well, figured good of time as any, does anyone have measurments on the weight of the back seat?
while I'm on the subject of making my car lighter, I just found this like 4 days ago, and now I can't find it again, how much does the windshield washer fulid system weigh including full fluid, I was thinking about taking it out if it was at least 8 lbs.

I have removed:
glove box (useless, and you can't tell its out because the dash covers it)
airbags (they already blew up once) <---- HEAVY
spare tire
trunk carpeting
back seats
brace behind seats (across the center)
center 6x9 speaker (it sux)
rear seat belts
side panels
big metal bracket that holds the ABS computer in place (its bolted to the car now)
roof panel over the sunroof motor
front stone guard (I'll be making an airdam anyway)
jack
jack tools
it was very obvious when I drove the car that it was lighter. I have a roll of stereo box carpet I'm going to put down, hopefully that will improve the looks (red metal on the inside of the car is ugly)
now I just need to get rid of damn 23 lb. 17" rims!

you guys forgot to mention a few, and heavy items that will give you a bit more power too, the power steering and the air conditioner. If you haven't taken out your rear seats yet it's really really easy, ask me if you need to know, other wise just start takin out bolts and pulling **** apart, it works for me
The driver side was pretty easy, as was installing the momo wheel. The passenger side was fairly easy as well, but I had to get a custom made cover for the dash, as none of the fake-airbag-cover-making-companies make a cover for the 4th gen prelude.
But yeah, the backseat in a prelude is worthless IMO. My seat practically touched the back seat when I was in a comfortable driving position

for real, since I bought the car I've been wanting to take that little bitch out, it's a waste of space, weight, and with no back seat, I have a damn good reason to not let any 3rd people ride with me on a night out.
I just kick the girl right out of the car when I race. She says I'm mean, and I tell her that I couldn't bear it if I crashed and hurt her. Weight reduction through BS.
