Default RHD Progress and Help sourcing parts!

Hey, everyone!

It's been a while since I've posted up any progress that I've made on my RHD project. I had been hoping to have had it running by the end of the summer, but with work and all, it's gotten the back burner treatment for several months now. But, I'm back on track again and hope to have her running soon!

On a TECH related note, I'm needing to source some JDM (y0!) door switches and wiring harnesses and one interior panel (left kick panel on passenger foot area), as everything is on the opposite side now (as you can see in the pics).

Anyone currently living/working in a country that could help me source these would be a great help, please either reply, im, or email me (dkpeters@netpath.net)!!!

Anyway, thanks for looking and enjoy!

Things are coming along... slowly.

Daniel

Hey RHD_BB4T,
Where did you, and where can you, come across the center speaker on top of the dash? I tried to do a search, but don't know what to call it so the searches aren't yeilding any results.

Project looks good. WOW lots of work.

five-0,

I really wish I knew what the center speaker was called. I think it comes as part of the optional DSP unit that's I have mounted under the radio. I lucked out with having two dashes to choose from, it came on one of the front clips I had...

I think that h22mark might be on to something though, you might want to check that out...

Now only if I could find the optional in-dash mounted LCD screen!!! Hehehe

Thanks again for the comments!

Nice I have driven a Jeep that was RHD, takes some getting used to.

I used to see those speakers on eBay all of the time, but not so much lately.

Keep up the good work.

Right on. Thanks.
Did you have to put in a new firewall with the swap? I'm guessing yes.

How much modification did that take to make those fit? It looks nice .

five-0,

The firewall DEFINATELY had to come out and swapped with the RHD one that I had cut out of the front clip... I have it all documented with pics if you're interested in it more!

h22mark,

There's actually little modifications required. I believe it's the stock Evo rails and sliders that are on the seats, and with a little bit of modifying/bending, the front mount points lined right up with the holes in the floor. the outside rear rails have a stock mounting adapter/plate that's held onto the slider/rail itself with a hex bolt. If you take the hex bolt out and oblong the hole forward 1/2 inch, you can get a bolt through to the stock seat mounting hole. As far as the inner rear goes, I had to extend using a piece of metal to get it to reach the rear stock mounting point... that's about it. Pretty nice fit, I think!
