Default Limited application for AEM V2?

I don't see any HX listings and the specify manual trans. How would one go about getting the correct V2 for a 1996 HX auto, if it exists?

Would it affect gas mileage?

before you spend 200 plus on a fancy intake, spend 2K plus on a fancy engine...

This isn't a race car. It's a daily driver, trying to get a little more MPG and the coveted CAI intake sound.

well then, best to prolly go with the standard, with the market saturation, it wouldn't be profitable to make an intake for every model, just the popular ones, are besides- are you certain a cai off another model wouldn't fit?

intakes for an EX will fit an HX. Normally short rams make more noise than CAIs.

Why is it only for manuals? Does the piping not fit over an automatic? Call me a ricer but I like the look too.

I have a 98 ex manual. picked up mine for 100 never been used. but that is a different story. Easiest thing to do is call up AEM and ask.

can you show us a pic of your engine bay?

The only thing Im concerned about is the intake manifold. if it is like mine then it will work. if it is like the DX then no. easiest way to tell is coming out of the engine will be this big metal log looking thing and your intake (stock or not) will stick thru the side. if it is DX then you do not have the same intake manifold and your intake will bend stright down pointing to the ground then attaching to the engine.

also Im not sure about DX or HX but the EX you need to replace an engine mount bracket thing. not sure if they are all the same
