The new crv motor is a k24 like the new rsx k20(same family of engines). They both spin in the opposite direction making it very difficult to swap. Plus the intake manifold is on the frontside of the motor and the exhaust manifold is towards the firewall. Basically it is really not possible.
what do you feel the best head would be to put on it is? thanks for helping me out people. cause i wouldnt want to do something stupid.

so...i think i will put a b16 head on there. but what types od distrubter cap will i need?? cause i know i will be confused on all of that
The distributor cap from a 90-91 integra should work. The internals are the same and I believe you just might have to modify the cap just a bit. Again correct me if I am wrong.
well im gonna take your work over mine..because you seem like you know motre about it. plus do you know of anyone with a 88 si motor?? plus when i get the ls/b16 done...will it pass smog?
I don't know if it will pass smog or not. How strict are they in nevada? I passed my jdm ZC here in Pennsylvania, but I don't know about a CRV-tec. And no I don't know of anyone with that motor as of right now. Sorry.
Sorry, the ZC is sold and my b16 is en route to my house. But yes the zc will drop straight in without the aid of a motor mount kit. It is a very easy swap into an Si. Plus it gives a nice boost in hp. But I think for a swap a b16 or b18 or crvtec would be much more rewarding.
Technically yes, but there are a few things you might want to consider. You might need a new clutch depending on if your current one is worn. Your current transmission will work. You will probably want to invest in either a 89 integra ecu or a ZC ecu to make the most of the ZC. Of course there are the maintainence items like the timing belt, water pump, distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, and wires. But basically you could drop it in without having to spend too much.
stick with a b-series. no one ever seems happy with their zc's and everyone in reno has b-series parts so it'll be easier to get stuff locally. if you do b20/vtec or ls/vtec make sure and do it right. you definitely don't want to be buying another block later on down the road. mint green 88's are tiiiiight.

if you want a lot of displacement you might want to checkout R&D dyno in Gardena California. they can build your 1.8l into a 2.2l and so fourth. or you might want to also check out http://www.jakesracingengines.com as well. but no one said going fast would be cheap...
one8hatch. why you say mint green 88's are tight?? i really do not like zc's. but i'll need to drop somethin in there. and not a si.
