does anyone know how to tell the difference between a b16 head and a b18c1 head.

intake manifolds are different.

 

The intake manifold isn't part of the head... so that has nothing to do with what he asked.


I believe that the gsr combustion chambers are bigger than the b16s, if you put a b16 head on a b18c block, you'd have a poor mans type R.

 

i was wondering if there was any differnces on the outside. im haveing a ls/vtec built and they are useing a gsr head and i was wondering how i could tell that.

 

I'm sorry let me rephrase that, the gsr head has a different bolt pattern for the intake manifold than the b16 head.

 

GSR head will be stamped P72, b16 will be stamped P30 I believe?
