Default car alarm trick

My dad turned me on to this one. have you ever locked your keys in your car and had the back up alarm remote at home in your stash place? I swear this worked in front of my eyes. You call home tell who ever is home to get the car alarm remote out then call you on your cell phone. Tell them to press the dissarm button and hold it up to the phone. Cell or house phone mouth piece while you are standing out side of your car locked out the signal will go through the phone and you must hold the phone right next to your car door. It will dissarm the alarm or pop the locks as well if you have keyless entry. If you don't beleive it go try it it can save you from having a tow truck guy from hitting your wallet or breaking a window depending on how bad you need to get into your car. Just hope someone is at home when you call pass it on EG phone home or is it ET phone home just dial down the center and save your locked out loved ones up to $160 for a cracked window from trying to break in and get the keys

That on top of locking your keys in the car? I think you should just stay home to be safe

wow, sounds kool, I just got my alarm installed yesterday, I'm gonna go try that out!

does that mean though that a jacker could setup a listening device somewhere and record the radio frequencies just to play them back and unlock my alarm?

I was an installer for 7 years, three years retired lol, and I've NEVER heard of this happening OR working. Right now, I'm gonna say not possible, the signals are RF frequency signals (if I remember correctly), as far as I know, they can't be transfered through a cell phone...that I know of. I'll have to check this out.

might work with 2 old Zack Morris Cell phones,

but it shouldn't work with any "cancer free" cell phones

How far away was the other remote when you tried this? I mean hell, I can get at LEAST a quarter of a mile out of my remote if there aren't any huge *** buildings in the way. I think somebody was yanking your chain.

This is interesting, but I highly doubt it works... *Yet another person going out to try as well*

No way this will work. A phone won't pick up the RF signals that the remote transmits to your car to disarm. Its simple radio right there. Now if you had something that transmitted RF signals and you knew the right frequency you could disarm a car alarm but still not over the phone.

Now beige boxing a payphone is a different story....but yeah I don't know anything about that...I promise....(runs)

well this souds interesting. but i don't think it will work. the frequencies used on car alarms are rf (radio frequencies) the ones used on your cell phone are microwaves. they are two different things. But i am going ot have to try it.
