Gs-r Header on a ls motor
Yes, a vetc head will bolt right up to an ls bottom end. The only obsacle you may encounter is variations with the v-tec. The v-tec needs an oil line from the block to the head which is offered on gsr blocks, not ls. The advantage of an ls bottom end is longer stroke and more suitable compreesion ratios for turbo. Search around for ls/vtec conversions, preferably on ebay. Also, sheck out this site for helpfull hints on this build, I am doing somthing very similar and find this to be quite helpfull.

well i have a 90 civic si
with a ls swap
so i will have to make a pipe or something anyway
is the gsr header longer or shorter then a ls header?
but the question is the header will fit under the block and bolt to the head
thanks

actually since you clarified, you don't need to worry about what year gsr header is for since you will have to customize your exhaust to fit properly anyway
well the kewl thing is that civic exhaust had to be forced back about 6 inch to make it fit the stock ls manifold
so if it shorter then it might bolt right up
what do you guys think

the difference in lengths of the headers is not that great. the cheapest and easiest solution for you would to take it to an exhaust shop and have them chop off 6 inches of your exhaust at the flange closest to the cat
is the header you're considering buying a stock gsr header? if so, its probably not worth it to swap out the ls for it. if its an aftermarket header, i would consider it since it would probably flows better than stock
