Strip Allen Key Hole on Shock
Hey,
I was changing my stock spring to aftermarket, but then i strip the allen key hole on the rear shock a little bit. I dont want to strip it some more and that why I need help on removing the spring. Is there anyway to remove the spring beside bringing it to the shop or buying new shock. Thanks for any help giving

Had that problem. Since it was only a stock strut I just sawed that bitch off. My friend had the problem too, but he took it to his mechanic and he put it on a spring compressor and used an impact wrench and it came off. His strut was still in working order.
You have a few options:
1) use the right SIZE allen key ( if u stripped it .. it means u were not usign the right size.. it should be VERY snug)
2) use air tools and an impact gun
3) get a rom rubber r leather anda vise grip... put wrap over the strut rod ( make sure not to scratch it ) and vice grip it.. and ratched off the nut.
BNumber 2 is easies way if u have them !! just carfull when they shoot off.. hahahh
