Cherry Bomb resonator ?
Well I really would like to know where I can pick one up at, and if anyone has one feel free to comment on it, does it hold up well, does it quite the exhaust down well ?
I had on on my zc engine (1.6 dohc non vtec) And it sounded great but i will only last like a year and than the filling in side will be a lot less so your sound will change.

Only a year ? Dam, anyone know of any better resonators. By the way summit does not sell them, I looked at the autozone website and saw nothing about it either.

u know magnaflow also makes resonators, but they are stainless mesh pack and will never change tone during service life. but they are a little harsher sounding
ooh and the cherry bomb is not stainless steel end the rest of the exhaust was stainless steel so when i came of the highway and stopped at the traffic light i heard loud ticking noise. That came from the cherry bomb which was colling down and crimping. So it is nice and cheap but better look for something better.

See I have heard this to, about the fiberglass actually melting after a while.

Kteller has them fior like 60$ in SS 14" if you want to quiet it down alot I'd suggest running 2 of them. magnaflow is your best bet for life and quality. they have them in other sizes in the Mild Steel

I'll check him out, but I might take my chances with the cherry bomb.

go to his site and look at the resonators... they have them up to 22 inches in mild and they are straight though. i just got a 14" SS one (largest they offer in SS) since i couldnt see putting a non SS part in my SS exhaust.
any cheap one you get is gonna have cheap fiberglass insulating that will sound like crap given enough time.. and they arent gonna be SS either.
here it is off magnaflows website

Ok well I have a magnaflow muffler, and right now the car is loud. What kind of sound will I produce after I get a magnaflow resonator, John said it was kind of harsh so that kind of turned me away from it.
glasspack DOES melt and will change tone after awhile. any competent exhaust shop should be putting the resonator as far back in the exhaust as possible for 2 reasons.
1 so it does not see excessive heat
2 so you can use the maximum amount of pipe before it for smooth flow and quieter driving.
stainless pack is harsher and its becasue the stainless does not absorb as much of the high pitched sounds as the glass does. personally i now prefer a broken in glasspack to a new one. with my current setup it took 4 months before i could even hear my exhaust. now its broken in and sounds alot like a greddy evo.
as usual with glasspacks everyone mileage varys. but seriously, for the price just get one and make sure u can get a magnaflow in the same size, so if u dont like the glass u can throw it out, and your only loosing 20 bux in parts instead of 40+ if u dont like the magnaflow

Thats how quite the cherry bomb made it ? Anyway you can get sound clips ? I am pretty sure I'll like the sound of the cherry bomb muffler.
