New best street tire time for me!
I went to the NOPI race this weekend in Ennis and ran a new personal best. I have a 1993 Civic Si hatch weighing about 2500 lbs with me in it. Here's the time:
R/T: .664
60': 1.817
330: 5.077
1/8: 7.685 MPH: 97.12
1000: 9.913
1/4: 11.757 MPH: 123.29
This was on 205/50 15 BFG drag radials, full interior (minus spare tire), and 93 octane pump gas. I drive this car everyday and have had it with this setup daily driven for over a year.

Congrats scott.
Its funny how we were talking about the things that you could do to make the 12.1 pass better last night and sure enough they seemed to work! Jinxproof, we got another one for your site.
Saturday in qualifying we found out the manifold was cracked at the wastegate. Thank you to Tony, Fisch and Saturn motorsports for helping us get it re-welded so Scott could continue to run this weekend.

Yeah, if it wasn't for Lisa Kubo's team willing to turn all the lights off on their trailer for 10 minutes (so Fisch would quit blowing fuses while he was welding), this wouldn't have happened. To racers helping fellow racers,

I basically just held it at around 5500 rpms and slipped the clutch out of the hole. The track was prepped really well and the tires just hooked. I don't drive on those tires on the street. Track use only

congrats
awesome 60' time
how is the car hooking at the top of first and through second gear with the drag radials?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Thanks. It's hooking great. I didn't have any traction problems at all. Well, it spun just a little in 1st gear, but not too bad.

I'm sure I won't be up there for long. People are always improving their times and setups.

Must be a good tuneup...
