Hi, i was just wondering what would u guys choose between these 3 amps? the zapco reference 1100.1, ppi pcx 1000.1 or the jl audio amp 1000.1 ? I have a chance to get one of this amp and im just wondering if u guys have any of the 3 amps i've listed and which one is better. Im pretty sure all 3 of them performs the same but i know one of them gotta be better than the others.. alright thanks foe looking.

 

well man zapco is one of the best amps on the market. can;t go wrong with it. the ppi series amps are up there with em, extremely clean. the jl is a awesome amp, the advantage to the JL amp is that 1.5-4 ohm loads are all still 1000watts. the zapco is 1100 at 2ohms and only 800 at 4. so you have to get the right sub configuration to get full power from it. the ppi amp is 1000 watts at 1ohm, 600 at 2ohms and 400 at 4ohms, so again it depends on your sub config. also in the price rage is the Phoenix Gold xenon 1200.1 its has the same technology as the jl, but its from 1-4ohms its alwyas 1200+ watts. and its cheaper than the jl.if your looking for a awesome amp, i would personally go with the PG Xenon 1200.1

 

I'd go with the Zapco, with the PPI a close 2nd.

 

thAnks for all the replys.. keep them coming.. yeah im leaning towards the zapco too..a friend of mine is selling his reference zapco 1100.1 still in good condition for a very good price also. About the ppi pcx 1000.1 i have this amp already, i just wanted to see what u guys think about it. As for the JL 1000.1 i've heard from some people that its way better than the PPI pcx 1000.1 ??

 

Personally I like the JL but you pay for the quality. Yes, it will provide very clean power, but I won't pretend that JL is better than other brands I have never been able to hear so I'd recommend that since you're choosing from almost $1000 amps you get a chance to see and hear them in person.
