Default Automatic shoulder belt is not working...Need HELP!

I have a 1990 Honda Accord LX and of course it has automatic shoulder belt. (When you have the door open it automatically goes forward. When you close the door it automatically comes backward towards you.) Anyways, it was working this morning, but this afternoon somehow it was not working when I closed the door. What could have caused this and how can this be fixed??? Any help will be truly appreciated.

The quick fix for safety is to manually crank it to the fastened position. The manual crank should be on the B pillar and a winding tool should be in the tool kit. Once it's in fastened position you can just manually release it and fasten it.
I'm not sure, but I think safety equipment like belts have a lifetime warranty, so hopefully a Honda dealer will fix it without cost to you.

Stupid answer maybe, chech the fuses for the passive restraint motors located in the engine compartment fuse box.

UPDATE: I took it to the Honda Dealer and apparently, it was the seatbelt control box that was not working. Fortunately, seatbelts are lifetime warranty (which I learned from the first replier of this post..thank you very much!) and so I got it fixed for FREE! If it wasn't under warranty, it would of cost me $400!! Whoa!

Thank You Everyone! Thank you...thank you! *BIG SMILE*
