im trying to replace my 96 civic ex d16y8 auto tranny motor that i blew with a 97 civic d16y7 5spd tranny motor, I need to know if the manual tranny will bolt up with my automatic transmison and will it work? Also the throttle body on the d16y7 is pointing upwards and on my old d16y8 was pointing to the left is this going to affect it in any way? please help thanx-
an auto to manual swap is not nearly as simple as...

it's a lot more work than that...
pedal assembly, reverse lights wiring, new ecu (optional), manual harness (optional), not to mention the other grunt work involved

Well yeah I think that goes without saying.
though I think it'd be kinda funny though to have it without the pedal assembly
