SOMETHING BAD HAS HAPPENED!!!
SO on saturday morning i started my 89 hatch with a jdm b16a swap in it...runs fine, its a nice day to go to the track...so i load it up on the trailer...no big deal it was outta gas, so the thing was to get BP silver gas on the way down...i get to the track and i hop in the car to start it up to get the car off the trailer i start it up...somethings diffrent...it sounded like it was running on 3 cylinders with a exhaust leak! So i check the spark plug wires..they are screwed up...all fouled from where my car is running rich because i have a chipped ecu from HYPERDUCK TUNING.com....so i decide no big deal ill jsut race it another day...so im kinda broke...and have no money to buy plugs so i tried plugs of fmy b18...and it did the same thing it was like redline was 4000rpm...and i noticed on the timing belt the part closest to you from the front of the car is loose and the back side is tight and i have adjustable camgears so the left camgear i loosed and made it an even tightness and it still did the same thing i dont know what it is or what to do help me out i apprecitate ....please!
also after i did the camgears...a whistling sound was in my engine bay too...i need to do something asap...i need you honda geniuses*sp* to help a moron like me out...lol
pull the carpet down, check for codes. if not, a compression test wouldnt hurt.
you could also make sure your getting strong blue spark, not a dim orange type.

also the IACV is on the back of the intake manifold, seach for it here on honda tech theres a thread on how to fix it. it basically becomes unscrewed inside over time.
its an easy fix but theres no garuntee thats what your problem is, but it wouldnt hurt to rule it out.
