Been covered a few times bro, I just recently changed timing belt, with the Honda crank pulley tool and a 4 foot breaker bar came off pretty easily, first time it breaks loose you'll think you just broke something, but it'll come off.

If you don't have access to the pulley tool, try holding the flywheel carefully with something, and use the long breaker bar...

I guess Im going to have to call honda tomorrow for that special tool. Another question does the bolt come lose clockwise or counterclockwise I just want to make sure that im not trying to tighten the bold instead of trying to losen it I have been trying to losen it counterclockwise.

always counter-clockwise. And yes it will sound like you broke something sometimes. For some reason some engines crank pulley bolt break loose so easy. Otherwise if you dont want to buy the special tool you can drop the tranny and use the flywheel bolts and a large bar/screwdriver to hold the crankshaft, but its alot more work than just buyin the tool which isnt to expensive. Not to mention you probly will snap a few flywheel bolts if it is really locked in there.

Btw you don't necessarily have to buy the tool from Honda, a few other companies make them, if you have time and your looking for a deal you could always check out eBay...

had the same problem even with my 550ft lbs impact wrench and the holder, and the bolt still wouldn't come off. jumped on a 3ft breaker bar and thought I had it but it was actually my craftsman socket cracking. bought an impact socket and oiled my impact wrench, tried again and the bolt came off right away.

just throw the car in park and get on that bolt with a braker bar, i didnt even have a long breaker bar just put the car in park and got under the car and kicked the breaker bar till it came loose, it seems like youare going to break something, but it will come loose
gd luck
