Broken seat fram
The frame on the driver's seat for my 2000 Honda Accord coupe has broken, and is very wobbly. The seat is electric, and the the break is where the seat adjuster arm attaches to operate the tilt mechanism. Eventually it will cease to operate, and is likely dangerous. Honda Canada tells me they will not cover any of the costs to replace the frame, which is in excess of $700. The car only has 80,000 kms. and has never been in an accident and is taken care of. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions on fixing it?
see if you can find a local welder, take the seat out, have it welded back together, and then re-install it. It's probably the cheapest way, and if it's done right, it'll last forever.
