Default high pitched buzz

ive recently noticed that as my motor revs up it makes a high pitched buzzing noise(getting higher pitched as the revs get higher). it sounds like it is coming from my exhaust...or the back of the car somewhere but im not to sure. just started a couple days ago and im wondering if anyone else has experianced anything like this...?

any input would help

Maybe a bearing? are you posative that it's coming from the back?

I have a system too(only one 12), its loud enough and it sounds good, no flaming from me

could it be a heatshield? look under the car and see if any of them are touching the exhaust.

Loose electrical ground. Totally turn off your radio and see if it still does it. Actually, pull your radio's fuse. I bet it goes away. How long is the ground wire on your amp? Try to make it as short as possible. Make sure it's touching bare metal, not painted metal. Maybe your ground screw came loose. When you tighten it back up, goop some grease over the ground connection area. That'll keep it from getting corroded and rusted. Or paint it. Even better.

Anyway, my money's on a loose ground or you ran your RCA cables going to your amp too close to the main power wire. Best thing you can do is to run one down one side of the car and the other down the opposite side.

Yeah my stepdad had a corolla back in the day that made a almost the same whirrling sound as a turbine over the speakers. Sounded kinda cool. ^_~

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ablack934doorcivic &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">you need a noise reducer for your stereo system or maybe a better ground</TD></TR></TABLE> Noise reducers are crap. I've been doing the stereo thing for a LONG time now and I tried a couple of those inline reducers back in the day when I had my 400W Radio Shack Optimus amp because I didn't know any better. They're not worth a damn. Actually the best ground you can get is to have somebody weld your ground cable directly to the car's chassis.
