Default Street Imports Intercoolers

Anyone ever use their intercoolers I saw them for the first time at a show yesterday. Anyways here's the info. Main info, Pressure Test to 30psi, Lifetime warranty against defects, full aliminum construction. 3 models, 1st model supports up to 225h, second 550hp, 3rd 650hp, 4th 350hp. Search isn't working btw.

I have installed a couple of these. The welds look good. There are no internal turbulators so I have to question the cooling efficiency of these things. With no internal surface area FAR less air touches the aluminum which means it has no oppurtunity to lose its heat. Also the end tanks are far too thick (~.5") which holds heat and possibly warms the charge under some circumstances

yep thats one of my concerns when i got it. I sold it right away because i didnt think they were efficent enough.

I have one and this really isnt true. I find it to cool the air very well. I was at the track and ran 9 times and never really cut the car off any. then drove 45 minutes to get home. I thought about this also on the way home about the cooling effect it may be having. I grabbed the chargepipe from turbo to FMIC, was warm. then grabbed the pipeing from the intercooler to the TB. it was chilled, very cool. so i'm assuming it much be extracting a decent amount of heat. No complaints here.

yeah mine works great, it helped spool up my turbo a little bit sooner i think because of the size, my old intercooler was the drag model that came with my stuff, so i know i was maxing it out.

these work well for low boost applications, but on high boost the efficency isnt that great. i have it on my setup . i recently tuned to 409hp on pump gas should have been more but air temp on hondata was rising instead of dropping. it does do a good job maintaining boost levels between shifts. just my experience though.

I'm using one, made 265whp and 170wtq on a b16a, gt32e 7.5psi. No datalogging, so I can't tell you guys the IAT's. With my built motor I plan on pushing about 28psi through it, so I will let you guys know how it performs.

I would love to see IAT logs for one of these vs another similar sized core on teh same setup. There has to be some reason every other manufacturer uses internal fins. It's cool you guys are making some power with these though

thats the same exact thign my tuner said. Low boost applications its okay. but higher ones, its not that good.

thank god finally someone knows about these intercoolers...

has anyone had any issues with the condition in which the intercooler endtanks come in? my buddy bought one for his 240sx, the big one. and the intercooler was nice for what he paid for it, but the endtanks were pretty scratched n beat up. I haven't actually tested one of these intercoolers yet so i cant say much for performance. but overall quality, i'm not too satisfied. but then again, for the price, you cant really complain.
