Generally in all cars:
G = Grand/Gran
S = Sport/Series
R = Race/Racing

I believe it does mean "unlimited" in Japanese but you cant always be sure. The kanji sometimes means different things in chinese and japanese. For instance the Kanji for "mugen" could mean something else in chinese when it means "unlimited" in japanese. Same characters, different meaning
