GSR Gas Mileage??
Hey guys, I'm a prospective gsr buyer and I was just wondering what they get on gas(epa is bullcrap). I'm looking into getting a 98-01(OBDII), when my engine goes bad, I'll swap in the OBDI and go turbo, haha, but for now I just want a daily driver with some kick. Anyways, yeah, I wanted to know from someone who owns a gsr, preferably a stock one, but any gsr will do, city/highway figures? Thanks guys.
Im not really sure exactly...
But i know i get around 280-320 on a full tank of gas.
This is with mostly city driving with an occasional rompin the gas. You shouldn't worry about gas milage when buying a honda....
Oh yeah, its vtec not vtech

Yep, and then some. Honda's have always over compensated with the fuel warning light.

Spark Plugs, fuel filter, Distributor cap and rotor, change oil regularly, keep tires inflated to proper psi, and run some injector cleaner every once in a while
when I first got it I'd get about 220 a tank (tank is 13 gallons total, including "Reserve")
Now it's always over 300+ (averages better than 30mpg).
But, I'm modded and have reduced the weight of the car.
Basically, use 5th gear when cruising, try to stay around 65 (and not 80) on the highways, and take your foot off the gas while in gear when you can (engine braking doesn't use any gas).

lol......i knew i should've just added the "A", but i wanted to make it unique........so for the last time, I KNOW ITS VTEC FOR HONDA, BUT ITS VTECH FOR ME BECAUSE I'M REFERRING TO MY COLLEGE, VATECH, BUT I SUBMIT THE "A"........i know you didn't know, but if only I had a nickle for every single time someone tries to point that out to me, I KNOW HONDA'S VARIABLE VALVE TIMING AND ELETRONIC LIFT CONTROLLER'S ABBREVIATION IS "VTEC"...... MY SCHOOL IS "VTECH"...
but yeah, thanks for sharing about the gas mileage... no hard feelings about my above explanation.. haha

HAHA, YES!! I SPELLED "VTEC", "VTECH" ON PURPOSE, MY SCHOOL IS VIRGINIA TECH, AND SO THATS WHY ITS "VTECH", I DON'T EVEN OWN A HONDA YET... HAHA, I GET THIS SOOO MANY TIMES, I SHOULD HAVE A TAGLINE ON THE BOTTOM OF EACH OF MY POSTS SO I'LL STOP GETTING THE CONFUSION...
