I was kinda excited, so I thought I'd post about my new experience.......
Just installed maxbore.com tb, skunk2 ecu (5700 vtec x-over and 8.7k redline) and vafc2. I put some baseline settings in the vafc2 after doing some research, I lowered vtec down to 5.2k and shift at 8k. I leaned it by -1/-2 after 5k and played around with it at 4-4.5k cause I had a mysterious bog at that spot that was cured by my butt tuning. But the car feels stronger then ever.... my mods prior to this were AEM CAI, DC CC Header, and DC SS Exhaust.
just thought i'd share, and before anyone comments, I plan to tuner this week on the dyno.

you bought one of those generic chips? nasty.
Bring your stock ecu to the dyno too...I'd like to see you dyno the two back to back..I bet your stock ecu does the same if not better

na, my friend took the skunk2 chip and blanked it all out and reinstalled the stock program and tweaked by putting vtec xover to 5.7k and redline to 8.7k.
I didnt want him to fool with the fuel/timing maps.

Actually, even taking the motor to 8000 is useless, too, with your mods. You are just buzzing the engine at that point...let alone when you shift, you miss the power producing rpms by revving the motor that high.
I want my rev limiter set to 7200RPMs. No reason to go any higher than that IMO.
