Default suggestions

I have a 91 Accord EX 2dr manual looking for suggestions for HP and looks without spending the STUPID over pricing just cause its an import (I know if not want over charge then get a cheapy junker) There so no need to flame, just looking for good suggestions without the put downs.

So far this is what is done:

Valve cover painted
Heat sheild (tried polishing but did not like so painted)
Colored Dis. cap see threw
Ford muffler (that was fun to do)
tinted windows
custom seats (need to find matching rears now color off)

Going to do:

Door pannels (change and color)
Dash pannel
Dash and acc. lights to LED's
custom OD cover
mod shifter to short
ER break handle (once I finish making)
center change color
replace carpet
color trim pannels
replace head linner

Let know what else can do with out going to the stealerships or the online rip offs
also looking for a good way to mod my ECM to more of the AUSI chip if anyone knows a good place to get the data and/or the chip

Thanks

No its not a stupid joke

Sometimes you get good ideas from others. Some times you even get ideas from others suggestions.

I am just as a creative block and would like to see what other Honda Owners suggest.

As for HP, there are several things you can do. I just don't feel like rebuilding the motor because it does not need it right now. So seeing what people suggest.

You know its people like yourself that make it so others don't want to ask for creative thoughts or ideas. And that is sad because this is suppose to be an open forum not a put down and flame forum.

well if your not willing to spend any money then dont expect to see any real horsepower gains.

weight reduction
some sort of intake/header/exhaust

ummmm your basically SOL man. cant be cheap and gain horsepower. ive spent about $800 on my turbo project so far....that doesnt include pistons/turbo setup/misc. parts for rebuilding the engine/engine management. so yeah

Understood. I have about $400 so far just in some minor upgrades and suspension + engine parts.

So it not like I wont or cannot spend the money. I am just not willing to get ripped off.

So right now just seeing what others might suggest for interior mods, exterior mods, or just ideas that they may not be willing to venture into yet.

Already going to mod in a pull down trunk lever from a Cadi and install struts on the trunk, maybe even go with actuators to open and close it. Still in planing on that one.

There are many things that can be done if you know what you are doing and have access to the parts/tools/blue prints (or can make the blue prints).

Like said just stuck at a creative block and would like to see what people think would look cool/nice/hot/outstanding ..........

i've always had this harebrained theory that a stock car with a k&n filter and a different fuel map flashed into the ecu would do pretty well...has anyone tried it?

Default Update

SUSPENSION

New:

Upper control arms ($90 for the pair)
Lower ball joints ($40 for the pair)
Inner tie rods ($26 for the pair)

Painting:

Valve cover almost done (decided to change color)
Heat sheild almost done (decided to change color)

Working on:

Air intake (most pay upto $300 for this, so far $10 in parts) but not sure if going to use

Body pannels
Dash pannels
Carpet
Center pannels
Glove Box (might take out and put in a drop down computer)

Planning:

Custom blue prints for dash
lower skid plate
auto Extingisher for under hood (never know what might light up)
Custom Exhaust (better then the pre bought systems)

Researching:
Fuel system
Electrial changes
ECM programs (would love to get my hands on the data from an Austrailian ECM)
Engine componits (many are set to the high waiste of the USA GREED) why its best to custom build a motor if you know what you are doing. Saw one once that ran off of one Injector, supper MPG and WOW was fast with little to no bog.

These are the times you would love to have full access to a machine shop and the supplies (without someone breathing down your neck). Would love to redesign the head for the F&H 22 motors. Even recam it for econ. on normal driving with OH YA BABY for strip, just incase you have some cocky yuppy thinking his car can out do ya.

you don't need to spend $300 on an air intake. If you're on the cheap, get some smooth piping and a good filter for very little money. Also, you can get some free hp by port matching your intake manifold. you just need proper tools.

Yes, I know about port and polishing, And not just the intake you have the exhaust ports too. You also have smoothing out the air intake system from air box to engine, forced ram air, assisted ram air, and a lot more.

As for the air intake, I don't want one that looks like everyone else. That is why making my own, if I use it. If not I will picture it and sell it.

This has nothing to do with being a CHEAPY

It has to do with being able to make most of these items myself, and will have loads more pride in it if I do.

Just looking for creative ideas

I would have to say all of the above. Just as a creative block and 99.9999999% of all thats out there is all the same company bought stuff. Just looking for new fresh ideas without all this corp. clogging.

I know that some have to use corp pictures to start the idea thread and that is fine. Like with the convertable thread in the welding area.
It all has to start from somewhere.

Thanks

The only advise that i can give, is do what you want. Dont follow others just because they say its cool. If you genuinely want to do something to your whip, **** it do it. that is all.

Why don't you get color matching floormats? What's the color of the interior? Pink? So get pink floor mats.

Now that is FUNNY

and no not pink

Going with a one of a kind purple (auto paint supply store is making for me)

And I will have to dye the floor mats as they don't make anything this close

Interior is going to be black/gray/purple(special shade) and have not decided what else yet.

But FUNNY guess on color but would never do pink
pppssstttt its not a Cadillac

I have not started to change the color of the inside yet. I am still laying out what I want to do with the inside. I also have some spare parts to change the color and see how it looks without trashing what I have.

That is the best thing about mods, you try and see then yea play around with ideas that you may or may not like.

best suggestion so far is:

Quote, originally posted by bagged93accord »

The only advise that i can give, is do what you want. As I am the one who has to drive it. So yea PUCK IT going to go with what I want to do then post the pics when done to say yea THAT IS MY RIDE
