Default Oil starved pistons?

Im planning on building a GSR block with a B16 head, and I was wantin to use some PR3 pistons. My boy seized his B16 cuz of an oil leak, thats another story, but I was wondering if I could use his psitons. The head is what seized, the cam cap on the intake side closest to the cam gear is what welded itself to the cam. We took the head off and the block "looked" fine. Im wondering if there is any hidden "danger" I should look for on the psitons. Im going to take the pistons out soon and see if the skirts are scored. If the skirts look fine would I be able to use the pistons?

Basiclly, Im wondering if there isnt any damage on the pistons will they be ok to use?

Thanks for any info, sorry if this sounds like a dumb question.

Matt

i wouldnt use any used pistons in another block. the pistons will take shape to the cylinder that there in. it wont be too much of a difference in shape from brand new ones but I personally wouldnt put n e used pistons in my block. just get a set of new PR3's. whats it gonna cost ya? like a bill?

true, i wouldn't use them. just spend the money on some new ones! if your gonna build a block don't rush and definally don't take short cuts! you only want to build it once right!?

depending on how many miles on your motor, you may want to think of getting oversized pistons instead of replacing it with standard size pistons....i wouldnt waste a rebuild with used standard sized pistons...
