radiator hose in hybrids
hey, i have a 95 b18b n my 91 hatch, im just wondering what all you other b series hybrids did about the radiator hoses? becuase on the block the neck is bigger than the neck on the radiator. what i did was cut the stock hose and sliped it into the tegs hose, but what other ways is there to go about this? i want to get some ss braided hoses but will i be able to get one to fit both ends? hope yall understand my question. thanks
I have a 1st gen B16a in my 91 Civic SI. I used INTEGRA OEM lower and upper hoses. On the engine side i used the B16a stock hose clamps and on the radiator side i used the stock civic hose clamps. No leaks at all on the radiator side!
I had my waterneck cut and tig'ed with the civic outlet so I could keep the small diameter hoses.. No overheating issues at all, seems to work fine. Cost me $2 in junkyard parts and TIG labor.
You can get rubber sleaves that go over the outlets. Recomended to do that for ease and efficiency. Go to http://www.radiator.com and they can help you out. If you need to buy a new radiator then use this coupon# AC116 for $20.00 off!
