Default Compression issues 0 on number 1 after over rev.

Like the title says

B16a2

number 1 0
number 2 190
number 3 220
number 4 210

Bent valve or what?

number 1

number2,3

head

Do a leakdown test.That will tell you exactly what is bent/broken and not holding compression...
Either way,sounds like the head is gonna have to come off. Hope its only bent valves!

i bet u cracked one of ur valves? do u have any upgraded valves in ur car? skunk2 valves are known for break n which will give u zero compression on that cylinder

Check leakage with carb or brake parts cleaner, or take it to a machine shop that can test it with a port leak-down tester. That will tell you the minimum number of valves you'll need to buy.

I just bought a good jdm b16 complete. I am taking this gsr head to machine shop. then selling after fix.

was it stock valvetrain?

11K-12K?? did u misshift. i remeber i mishifted once. i was on the phone and at redline on my LS (6.8K) and was go n to shift from 4th to 5th but ended up go n into third. i overevved the motor but i clutched down really qucik. i seen my tach go all the way past 8K. **** was scary as hell. car has been driving okay since then. i should do a leak down test on my motor... just to make sure. this happened about 3 weeks ago

shifted from 3rd to 2nd last time i looked at the tach was 9500. slammed then clutch to save, to late.

running mild build, zex springs and retainers, zex stage 2 cams,mild port work, shaved gsr head ,skunk2 mani, 70mm bbk, 310rc injectors, stock B16a2 bottom end. GSR tranny w/phantom grip, ACT clutch w/prolite flywheel. P28 skunk2 program no rev

My friend accidently did that twice in his b16 and it still ran fine, just not to 9500 but the rpm needle did go off the tach

This was the first and only time with high lift cams.
