Snap on Chopper Pics
This is probably the best place I could think of sharing this. Went to a local snap-on which was celebrating there 30th anniversary so this was here. Just thought would share to show what alot of $$$ and alot of custom fabing can do
. First OCC bike I've seen so it was pretty kewl to have in this small town.

The proofs are kinda small. Didn't want to take up too much room. If you want a larger pic just let me know and can e-mail.

It was nice...starting to show some age and wear though. Some small rust spots on the crome where the hex screws go into the plates on the rear, the rear adjusting bolt/nut are nasty rusted and there was a small scratch on the gas tank (which I didn't notice) Its just a trophy for snap on really, no starter or fluids, I've seen it ran on the show but thats all I know of it every running. I dont know why OCC spends all the time to make them run when a majority will never see the open roads again.

I dont like OCC's stuff.. All they do is assemble a bike, make some custom fenders and weld on some nicknacks.
They dont make their own frames, tank, oil tank..
I classify them more as 'bike assemblers'
Now indian larry (gasoline alley) thats a real builder. RIP

The bike is on a snap on lift and the kid is standing on the back of the lift...so in that instance he is as tall as some of the adults....Indian larry did make some nice bikes. I still like chopper inc (Billy Lane) as a personal prefrernce though.

That is what has alway bothered me about OCC. Most of the bike is out of a catalog, and they still want like $200k for it.

i was having a discussion with someone about this cause i felt the same..and they were saying that the frames they use are OCC designed but i seen them look into the catalog and order frames even tanks/fenders etc. on the show and assemble a (custom) bike by slightly modding those components..im no bike builder and im only watching a show, so i cant say for sure..but after watching the world biker build-off..OCC seems petty..lol..but im just on the outside looking in..

I'm sure Rick can do the tanks/frame and Pauly and the head mechanic can take care of the little nit-picky details. Just that SR. needs to pay Rick more bling bling. LOL!!!
Rick is a very good fabricator.....he could get it done!!! With his help if they paid him more I think they wouldn't have to always borrow someone else's frame.

amen to that. Yet there are a lot of people who don't know sh*t that think they build the best bikes evar! The only time I was really disapointed was when Jay Leno had them build him a bike. It actually turned out pretty cool, but I was amazed that someone with the knowhow of Leno would even pick these yahoos to build him a bike. I guess it's ratings for both of them tho . . .

My god I can't believe how many people like their lame **** bikes. They are accessorizers...a pep boys type of bike building agency. They take prebuilt **** and just bend a bunch of rod and tack it on. Anytime you take something and paint it, chrome it, and put wheels on it its gonna look good. They don't paint it, they don't powdercoat it, they don't chrome it, they don't make the wheels so what good is it? Check out Paulie tryin to make the tank for Lance Armstrong...that wasn't even a difficult tank design and he was ****** stumped for hours until Rick came along. Hell Chico, Jesse, Billy Lane, any of them could have made that with ease. If Rick hadn't helped him he wouldn't have had ****. Hell the firebike they didn't even make the tank at all! Most of the tanks they do make that take on a different shape don't even hold full capacity of fuel. They take a tank and weld panels on it to change the shape but most of it doesn't even hold fuel...so what the hell good is it? The bars were getting really dry too with thier typical setups, now they have that water cutting cnc style machine and they think they are the ****. They're all over that machine like its the ****, but it puts out garbage. They did a set of bars on some bike...I can't remember which, but they basically cut a plate then welded two tubes on each side for the handles. Well the thing looked so damn crude it was disgusting. The edges were all rough and ****. I mean even the stuff they weld up, they leave really rough. They go to paint and come back all perfect which tells me that dude that paints is doing all the grinding and body prep also. All the talent lies elsewhere...Paulie is a damn joke. I much more enjoyed watchin Paul Sr. and Cody build that old school bike. He at least jig'd some **** up and bent some pipe old school style....I don't know I'm done here. I just think Paulie is a ****** joke, I don't see any exceptional talent at all. Anyone can weld on some accessories and shoot orders for paint, wheels, and ****.
They really charge more than 100k for a bike??? I started watching the show recently and haven't understood with the big deal is. Or why I always see people walking around with OCC shirts. One positive is that they broadcast this on the HD channel, which is great to watch a buildup in such clarity.
